Hamrun spartans paid tribute to Joseph Portelli before Saturday’s game against Birkirkara.

The game ended with a 0-0 draw, As a result, Ħamrun Spartans were unable to reclaim the top spot, remaining in second place with eight points, just one behind leaders Marsaxlokk.

The match was a hard-fought encounter from both teams, and took place at the Tony Bezzina Stadium.

In the dying seconds of the match, substitute Paul Mbong came close to stealing the win for Birkirkara. The Malta midfielder raced past two defenders, but his low shot was expertly saved by Bonello, ensuring the deadlock remained.

Four Maltese Men Arrested in Drug Trafficking Operation in Valletta

Early this morning, four Maltese men were arrested during a surveillance operation by the Police in connection with drug trafficking at the bus depot in Valletta.

After a search conducted by the Police, 45 packets of a substance suspected to be synthetic cannabis were found in their possession, allegedly ready to be trafficked.

The four individuals, aged 53 from Birżebbuġa, 54 from Wied il-Għajn, 55 from Marsa, and 56 from Ħal Tarxien, are being held in police lock-up in Floriana for further investigation.

Mr Sofrito of course became popular on the island for his €9.90 toast, with hundreds flocking to Dingli every week to get a bite out of the culinary sensation.

Adonis recorded the process of getting his tattoo at Quelin Wilson’s studio and shared it to social media. He even filmed a little clip of the tattoo artist shouting out ‘AWAY’ – a signature catchphrase of his.

Between January 27 and January 31, 2025, Transport Malta responded to 72 incidents including 3 cases with reported injuries. On average, officials took around 13 minutes to respond to these incidents.
