Reproduction factor continues to decline in Malta, now down to 0.63%

Last week, statistician Vincent Marmara informed the Maltese public that the reproduction factor of the COVID-19 virus has declined to 0.75% in the Maltese Islands.

This week it has further declined to 0.63%, meaning that each infected person now infects less than one person on average.

93 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 97 recoveries

Malta has registered 93 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,941 swab tests, while 97 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

From yesterday’s cases; 13 cases were family members of previously known cases, 3 cases were contacts of positive work colleagues, 2 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases, 3 cases were from social gatherings with other positive cases.

To date, Malta has registered 11,714 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 9,978 have recovered, 190 died and 1,546 are still active.

Juventus win 4-0 in Serie A, while Liverpool and Everton are back on top in English Premier League

Juventus won a Serie A game yesterday scoring 4-0 against Parma. Cristiano Ronaldo scored two of these goals following recent criticism.

Liverpool and Everton are now the frontrunners at the English Premier League. While Liverpool is more familiar with this kind of ranking, it’s been a while since Everton have been close to winning an EPL title.
