Ħamrun Mayor, Christian Sammut has posted photos of Ħamrun lit up in decorative lights ahead of Valentine’s Day.
Sammut said that all the efforts to restore Ħamrun to its former glory are finally paying off. He urges residents to look forward to the future, and to the further regeneration of Ħamrun.
Sammut urged people to visit Ħamrun and to enjoy the atmosphere while shopping in the streets of Ħamrun.

Eddie Fenech Adami has just turned 87! Fenech Adami was the Maltese Prime Minister, between 1987 and 1996, and again between, 1998 and 2004.
Following this, Eddie Fenech Adami also served as the President of Malta from 2004 to 2009.
Bernard Grech took to Facebook to wish, Eddie Fenech Adami a Happy Birthday and he praised him for being a person who always brought new opportunities and advances to the Maltese Islands. Grech also called him the father of European Malta.

Dar tal-Providenza rejects €500,000 sum donated on New Year’s Day fundraising activity from Tunisian Trading Group. The sum was presented on the day by Adrian Delia.
After the sum was donated an audit firm was contacted and hired in order to vet the offer. The Tunisian Trading Group failed to provide the requested information, in order to verify the offer and thus, Dar tal-Providenza was not in a position to accept the donation.
The final sum of the donations from the New Year’s Day event was now revised to, €2,031,540.

Miriam Dalli took to Facebook earlier this morning to express her dismay towards people who disposed of waste at Chadwick Lakes.
A few days prior, Dalli had announced that in collaboration with Nature Trust – FEE Malta, a rehabilitation of Chadwick Lakes will be taking place.
Miriam Dalli thanked Parks Malta for going on the scene this morning in order to remove the said waste. They found that some of the waste was moved out of the way already.
Dalli appealed to the people of Malta to take more care when it comes to nature. She asked for co-operation and attention when it comes to maintaining and caring for our green areas.
