Burgers.Ink

A local favourite which not only provides a selection of some of the juiciest burgers in Malta and Gozo, but mouth-watering pancakes for dessert! Whether you’re craving a juicy Tennessee Chicken Burger with bacon and Jack Daniel’s sauce or the classic South London with double beef patties, double cheese and Burgers.ink sauce, this one’s a banger!

Hugo’s Burger Bar

A legend in local burger lore, Hugo’s Burger Bar has been there for us in more ways than we can count. Whether it’s a post-beach burger or a post-rave crave, we have found comfort in this beloved St. Julian’s spot on multiple occasions and will continue to do for years to come.

The Mill

Popular across Malta & Gozo for creating some of the most drool-inducing foodporn around, The Mill in Naxxar is one of our favourites because it offers everything from timeless classics to creative concoctions and we’re here for it. Tribe

A new kid on the block showing that they are a force to be reckoned with. Tribe in Valletta meshes effortless style with mouth-watering gastronomy and while it may seem hard to believe, they taste better than they look… and just in case you’re accompanied by people who don’t enjoy a good burger, Tribe offer an extensive menu of gorgeous goodies which are sure to accommodate.

Shoreditch

A timeless classic in Maltese burger joints, Shoreditch walked so other burger places could run. The quaint St. Julian’s spot is regarded by many as one of the best burger spots on the island and with good reason. Crispy, golden fries, fresh coleslaw and burgers on burgers on burgers which will keep you drooling ’til the very last bite, Shoreditch is a 360-degree experience and if you haven’t been there at least once, do so ASAP.

Novi

Their slogan is #ItsLegit and we can honestly say that yes, it is. The burger restaurant in Gzira has developed somewhat of a cult following for their vast menu of gorgeous American treats and not a single menu item is a miss. All of the burgers are a must try and, when accompanied with a side of Novi’s trademark chicken wings, you are in for a massively memorable meal.

Danny’s

“Think of Danny’s as a chef in a snack bar.” Humble, wholesome and hunger-inducing, Danny’s is a go-to for anyone looking for a a simple, hearty meal with the finest ingredients. Many have argued that Danny’s have perfected the craft of the burger and when you take a look at their O.G. Bacon Burger you simply have to agree.

Hermanos Burgers

Hitting the Maltese islands like a beefy tidal wave (with bacon and cheese), Hermanos Burgers effortlessly created a fleet of fans across Malta and Gozo for their monster burger concoctions, clever branding and burgers of the month reminiscent of various countries and cities around the world. A local favourite which has managed to secure a spot in some of Malta’s major social hubs, Hermanos is definitely one worth trying.

Birkirkara armed robbery thieves still on the run, police reveal

The Malta Police Force is currently searching for three thieves who conducted an armed robbery in a Birkirkara garage on Saturday at around 7am.

The Police stated that three armed men entered the garage in Karm Zerafa street to come across a 53-year-old man.

The robbers reportedly tied the man by his hands and stole considerable amounts of money before escaping; the victim was found the be suffering from shock and was given the necessary medical assistance.

The search for the three men is still under way whilst duty magistrate Astrid May Grima launched an inquiry.

Birkirkara women's team double champions after securing women's cup

The Birkirkara women’s team have secured a domestic double after toppling Swieqi United in the women’s cup final.

This is the team’s 16th cup win in history and the fourth consecutive win, with stupendous goals from Patricia Lamanna, Raina Giusti and Sara Saliba cementing the team as a force to be reckoned with.

Birkirkara shot towards victory during the second half, with an overhead kick from Lamanna in the 55th minute marking the game’s first goal.

Congratulations to the stripes for becoming double champions!

Maltese weather page forecasts potential rain, thunder & heavy winds on Saturday evening

Maltese weather page ‘It-Temp Madwarna’ has shared a recent satellite image highlighting a stormy vortex towards the Northeastern side of Tunisia.

The image notes rain showers and thunderstorms due to spells of cold weather and expects the vortex to hit the Maltese islands between 6pm and midnight.

“Due to the various events, feasts, weddings and events planned tonight, we felt the need to publish this update so that one is more prepared for every eventuality. This is not cause for alarm but an opportunity to be prepared,” the page stated.

The page also noted risks of rain and thunderstorms, heavy winds and ‘very’ cold temperatures.
