‘From our first times stepping on stage together at 14 to the biggest performance of our lives’ said the pair, understandably excited about their latest opportunity.

We’ll have to see what happens during their round and whether any of the judges will hit that red button to bring them into the fold. But the two brothers, who also founded ‘The Playground’ for other artists to grow, have honed their skills to make a definite imprint.

No rain or storms yet as October is set to be drier than usual

No rain or storms yet as October is set to be drier than usual

It seems as though it will still be a while before we get the big autumn storms characteristic of this seasonal period.

According to weather news portals, the week ahead is set to progress with slightly cloudy weather, with October being reportedly warmer and drier than usual.

According to Malta Weather Facebook page, October 2022 will be warmer due to high pressure dominating the central Mediterranean. The page states that no severe thunderstorms or rain events are anticipated as of yet.

According to the Malta Airport weather forecast, isolated showers are expected for next Monday onwards, but the probability of such rainfall is remarkably low.

This week is also set to see a high temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius, with the lowest dropping down to 18 degrees Celsius. This all follows a massive bout of rain to close off September. But it will be a while before we get to see such weather patterns.

Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri revealed that there were 253 traffic accidents between January and the end of August 2022 registered with the police.

The question was tabled in parliament by PN MP Joe Giglio and asked how many of the accidents caused injuries and how many were fatal.

It was subsequently revealed that 235 of these accidents resulted in injuries, with 16 of these being fatal. Comparatively, the National Statistics Office reported 3,595 road traffic accidents in Q1 of this year and 4,240 in Q2, amounting to an 18% increase in traffic accidents over 2021 during 2022’s second quarter

This is due to the NSO taking into account all accidents, whereas the parliamentary question referred to those registered by the police.

It was reported earlier in August by the National Statistics Office that there were up to 47 traffic accidents everyday between April and June.

The amount of accidents has also raised concerns about the current road situation in Malta due to the seeming increase in accidents and fatalities.
