Haley Buġeja recently unveiled her newest tattoo in a series of photos on social media, with the new phrase on her arm capturing the Maltese footballer’s national pride.

The internationally renowned footballer tattooed the first line of the Maltese national anthem: ‘Lil din l-art ħelwa’ (This sweet land).

Buġeja recently joined Inter Milan, becoming a massive asset to the team’s recent games and achievements, all while still keeping her Maltese roots close to her.

Flight Attendants Bid Farewell To Air Malta

It’s officially the end of an era for many Air Malta flight attendants as the airline’s last flights are wrapped up before the national airline changes.

Love Island Malta winner and Air Malta flight attendant Allen Piscopo took to social media to share a photo prior to his last flight alongside his colleagues, writing:

‘Last Airmalta flight. Bittersweet moment! Now onto the next.’

Air Malta will continue to operate flights up to and including 30 March 2024. All bookings for flights on Air Malta for travel on or after 31st March will be cancelled, with Air Malta refunding customers.

Malta’s new national airline was replaced by KM Malta Airlines Limited, with flights from 31st March 2024 having already opened for bookings.

Taking to social media, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works Chris Bonett gave a sneak peek at what the Buġibba square will look like following renovations.

The tender for the renovation of the iconic square is set to be issued today, with the project kicking off next September.

The project also aims to strengthen tourist activity in the locality as the plans are set to give brand new life to the zone, frequented by many.

Malta With Fastest Ford Escorts In The World

Taking to social media, Facebook page Mk1Kieran shared a list of the world’s quickest Mk1/Mk2 Escorts, with Malta featuring prominently on the list.

With over 65 validated entries, many on the list were Maltese names, with the first three places all occupied by Maltese – namely, Clint Fenech, Gary Camilleri and Justin Muscat respectively.

However, a look at the list sees Maltese occupying many of the spots on the list – a testament to the island’s love for vehicles.
