US sprinter Hunter Woodhall clinched his first Paralympic gold medal in the 400m T62 at the Paris Games, finishing in 46.36 seconds. His victory follows the Olympic success of his wife, Tara Davis-Woodhall, who won gold in the long jump in August. The couple shared an emotional moment when Woodhall crossed the finish line and immediately ran to find his wife in the crowd.

“I have the best team in the world,” Woodhall said, reflecting on his achievement. Despite recovering from COVID-19 before the Games, he demonstrated exceptional form and determination. Woodhall also competed in the 100m T64, where he placed sixth.

Born with a fused right ankle and fibular hemimelia, Woodhall underwent leg amputations at a young age. Initially facing challenges and bullying, he found solace and purpose in track and field. Over time, his dedication paid off, leading to his Paralympic success. Now, Woodhall hopes to use his platform to advocate for the Paralympics and inspire others with his journey.

The Weeknd Reveals ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ Cover Art

The Weeknd Reveals ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ Cover Art
Sep 8 2024 Share

The Weeknd has unveiled the cover art for his highly anticipated album Hurry Up Tomorrow, the final chapter in his trilogy that began with After Hours in 2020 and continued with Dawn FM in 2022. The announcement, which came earlier this week, has sparked considerable excitement among fans eager for the concluding installment.

The Weeknd complemented the cover art reveal with a visually striking video featuring a poetic narrative:

“Yesterday was fourteen years ago… we held our breath falling into a shimmering sea in the after hours of the night. Attempted to cleanse the wounds with melodies and lights, a bulletproof bandage to shield what lies beneath.”

The cover art for Hurry Up Tomorrow presents a close-up of The Weeknd’s face, marked by dark shadows under his eyes. This minimalist approach contrasts sharply with the elaborate fake facial prosthetics seen during the After Hours era and the gray beard associated with Dawn FM. The new artwork hints at a more introspective and raw exploration, raising anticipation for how The Weeknd will wrap up this distinctive musical journey.
