The highly anticipated GTA 6 trailer has set a new record for the most views on a non-music YouTube video within 24 hours, surpassing MrBeast’s previous record.
Rockstar Games confirmed the release of the first trailer for the game in December, scheduled for December 5. Despite an unfortunate leak, the official launch by Rockstar quickly gained massive traction.
Fans expected the GTA 6 trailer to break records, and it did so in under 13 hours, surpassing MrBeast’s record of 59.4 million views with his ‘Extreme Olympics’ video. MrBeast, known for his vast subscriber base of 216 million, held the previous record for several consecutive weeks.
However, predictions that GTA 6’s trailer would outperform were accurate.
Notably, the GTA 6 trailer is poised to challenge the overall record for the most-viewed YouTube video in its first 24 hours, currently held by the South Korean boy band BTS.
The decade-long wait for the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series has resulted in unprecedented enthusiasm and engagement, setting new benchmarks in the online content landscape.
