Feb 5 2022 Share

When Grand Theft Auto V was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013, it took the world by storm and elevated the GTA brand unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Fast forward nine years and video game developers Rockstar have finally confirmed that they are working on the follow-up to the global phenomenon.

“With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered – and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway,” the developers stated.

Since its initial release, GTAV became the second-highest selling game of all time, coming second only to Minecraft. With regards to the new release, no details have been given as of yet, with Rockstar Games stating that they look forward to sharing more information as soon as they are ready.

Former Seria A side Siena announce signing of Maltese midfielder Matthew Guillaumier

Feb 4 2022 Share

Former Hamrun Spartans star midfielder Matthew Guillaumier has signed with Italian Serie C club A.C.N. Siena 1904. The signing comes a month filled with speculation that the local player will be signed by an Italian club.

The deal will be a loan with an option to buy in the summer, once their important season ends. Guillaumier will be aiming to help the club reach a playoff spot and maybe achieve an unexpected promotion to Serie B.

The signing came as a shock as it was being reported that the frontrunner for the local player were Serie B side Reggina 1914. The deal couldn’t materialize as they couldn’t sign Guillaumier without offloading a player. When it was made public news that Reggina wouldn’t be able to sign him, Siena swooped in in the dying parts of the January transfer window.

The 23-year old already has 14 caps for Malta where he has scored one goal against Faroe Islands. He was also voted as player of the year in the 2020-21 season.
