Gozitan priests charged with sexual abuse released from custody

The two Gozitan priests charged with rape and sexual abuse of a minor altar boy have been granted provisional liberty on a number of conditions.
The priests have been ordered not to speak or confront the alleged victim and will receive a two-year prison sentence or a €7,000 fine if the conditions are broken.
The case hearing is currently in progress with Magistrate Bridgette Sultana presiding.
