Joseph Calleja angered with Għadira Bay queues; disputes “Private house parties”

Dec 31 2020 Share

In a tweet posted yesterday afternoon, Maltese cultural ambassador and beloved tenor Joseph Calleja spoke out against the endless Għadira queues heading towards Gozo for New Year’s Eve.

In a re-tweet of a Times of Malta article, Calleja semi-jokingly stated that the virus ‘loves concert halls and opera houses but hates private/massive house parties with DJs’.

Whether or not you agree with the tenor, the virus will not take a break on New Year’s Eve and whether or not there will actually be massive house parties with DJs, it is of utmost importance to adhere to health protocol.
