GoTo Malta celebrates sustainability & clean mobility during European Mobility Week

From today until September 22, Europe will be celebrating European Mobility Week, a 7-day campaign organised by the European Commission to raise international awareness on sustainable urban mobility. Being a sustainable and affordable vehicle-sharing service, GoTo Malta will be supporting this year’s health-focused theme ‘Safe and Healthy with Sustainable Mobility’.

The theme is centred around paying tribute to Europe and the rest of the world’s hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic and opportunities for changed inspired by the health crisis. GoTo Malta country manager Zach Bergerson stated that “At GoTo, this year’s European Mobility Week theme of staying safe and healthy while travelling sustainably is very much aligned with our core values”. He went on to highlight how supporting the community with safe, sustainable and affordable transport solutions is at the heart of the company’s strategy.

The purple-and-white mobility company has always encouraged positive change and innovation in mobility, Bergerson said, going to say that it is proud to help Malta contribute to a growing international movement towards greater sustainability and cleaner mobility options.

As part of their European Mobility Week campaign, GoTo are offering new users the ability to benefit from €25 free driving credit, valid for a full month. Users can access the promotion by simply applying promo code ‘MOBILITYGOTO2021’ when registering and booking any of GoTo’s fleet of shared electric cars and scooters through the GoTo app.

Liverpool beat AC Milan in crazy thriller at Anfield

Last night Liverpool beat AC Milan in what was the best match of this week’s Champions League matches. The match was filled with goals, penalty calls, offside goals and plenty of drama. AC Milan and Liverpool have a history facing each other in the Champions League, meeting each other twice in the Final once in 2005 and the other in 2007. This is the first time the two clubs have met in a normal match not a final.

 

Liverpool started the game the best way possible, challenging Mike Maignan multiple times, which led to a Fikayo Tomori own goal in the 9th minute. When it seemed that Liverpool will close the game early on they lost their attacking edge. The last 5 minutes of the first half was all Milan. In the 42nd minute Ante Rebic scored Milan’s first UCL goal in 8 years and only 2 minutes later Brahim Diaz gave Milan the lead.

The second half wasn’t as exciting as the first, but it consisted of more player to player battles. The only goal of the second half came in the 69th minute when Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson channeled his inner Steven Gerrard and scored a powerful volley from outside the box. That goal divided the two teams and provided Liverpool with an important win that helped them set out their Champions League intentions.

Israeli brand Venture Rocket, part of Titanium Technologies Group is set to kick off its operations in Malta within the next few months. The business’s investment is being supported by Malta Enterprise, a contact point for start-ups across the island with the aim of aiding and maintaining local businesses.

Venture Rocket Malta will reportedly be on the lookout for innovative start-up businesses and companies, both local and global, help plain their foray into the Maltese business ecosystem and help with the attainment of government grants and support plans. This, paired with Malta Enterprise’s multiple start-up incentives such as StartinMalta.com means good news for current and future budding entrepreneurs.

VentureRocket Malta will offer a number of services including digital tools to manage the start-up ecosystem and fundraising campaigns, global start-up scouting and outreach activities as well as customised acceleration & incubation programs.

The ‘Happier Than Ever’ artist had her single debut at #1 on Billboard and has gone on to reveal two collaborations with the Jordan brand which have caught the attention of Billie Eilish fans and hypebeasts around the world.

The first of two collaborations is a call-back to Billie’s iconic green hair, presenting an icy volt Air Jodan 1 KO made entirely in leather and features the singer’s signature logo on the tongue. The sneaker also features Eilish’s name hidden on the insole and glows in the dark.

The other Jordan iteration is a switch-up of the Jordan 15, with the sneaker considered to be the “black sheep” of the Jordan line. However, the pale tonal elegance of the Eilish collaboration provides a unique version of the shoe. It also features Eilish’s Bloshsh logo on the front and full name written on the insoles. Official release dates have yet to revealed but the collaboration will reportedly hit stores in the coming weeks.
