Following the success of April 7th’s Open Day at the Domvs Romana, National Museum of National History & St Paul’s Catacombs, the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government is opening up more cultural sites for the public to enjoy for free!
On the 20th of April 2024, visitors are invited to Għar Dalam and Borġ in-Nadur – sites rich in their historical value as they transport you to a prehistoric Malta.
Located in Birżebbuġa, the sites offer some of the oldest man-made structures not just in Malta but the whole world, as well as the remains of various fauna which trekked the islands.
But it doesn’t stop there as the following day, on the 21sr of April, visitors are being invited to the National Archives, housed in Hospital Street, Rabat.
There you can take a literal look into the past through the various documents stored for historical learning and get a glimpse of how the Maltese once lived!
So make sure to mark your calendars for these two days centred around historical and cultural enrichment.
