Taking to social media, Development Director of Ghana Mission Foundation Nikol Baldacchino shared a touching video of the moment Ghanian students sang along with Maltese influencers currently doing missionary work.

The singing was led by Kevin Paul Calleja and Megan Caruana, who both had experience on the local version of XFactor and became music powerhouses in their own right.

The local singers were also joined by Daniel Umanah, Victor Abela, Keane Cutajar and MaltaDaily’s very own Amy Borg. Working with the foundation and HopeXchange, they are actively working on spreading hope to many children living there.

And music (and not just any music but a local classic) seems to be doing just that as the cohort sings enthusiastically with a classroom full of engaged children.

Following massive anticipation, especially the somber passing of the late Queen Elizabeth II, the Crown has been released on Netflix.

The series chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II, starting off from before her official coronation through to her life in the modern age.

The latest instalment is set to cover the rather turbulent events of the 1990s. The royal family underwent various tribulations during this time period, from divorces to the death of Princess Diana as well as the fire at Windsor Castle.

In fact, the synopsis for this new season reads: ‘It’s a new decade, and the royal family are facing what may be their biggest challenge yet: proving their continued relevance in ‘90s Britain.’

The role of Elizabeth has been taken on by Imelda Staunton, with Jonathan Pryce portraying Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip. Elizabeth Debicki and Dominic West will portray Diana and Prince Charles respectively.

Due to the series’ event being inspired by real-life occurrences, the show has been met with mixed reviews and critiques. However, it has managed to attract a new cohort of fans following the recent death of the real life Queen Elizabeth on September 8th.

‘We feel immensely fortunate that as hunters and trappers we get to experience various moments such as these whilst in the surrounding environment.’

Taking to social media, local personality Claire Agius Ordway posted an encouraging testimony to motivate those who might feel on the fence about pursuing fitness gals to go ahead and do so.

Agius Ordway shared two photos taken 10 years apart from when she was 37 and 47 years old. ‘Went to search in my photos after a good conversation I had.’

‘I did this to remember where it started and when fitness was a nightmare for me. […] Do not get discouraged by the cool workout posts or people lifting all sweaty and muscly 9me included).’

She went on to highlight how that is not the hard part. In reality, she stated, it’s the showing up to a gym intimidated and feeling doubt if it’s just another wasted membership.

‘The hardest part is getting used to getting it into your system; getting used to the sore muscles; doubting if you are making all this sacrifice in vain.’

‘Asking yourself why you hate this so much when everyone seems to be having the time of their lives sweating their heart out’. She urged people to find a trainer who can help. ‘Then your mindset will change I promise’.

‘It will not be easy, nothing in life is. Just think of what you want your life to be in 10 years’ time. Start now. Time will pass anyway. You are not too young. You are not too old. Go for it!’
