It is unclear whether and/or how the situation was resolved, but the video continues to reinforce pleas by local activists and citizens alike for authorities to take more action about the increasing problem of waste management on the island.

Yesterday, 22nd August 2023, MaltaDaily reported how various Nationalist MPs are calling for more action to take place on the issue, with Adrian Delia, Darren Carabott, Eve Borg Bonello and Alex Borg all addressing the issue.

Discussions For Premier League To Start In January Ongoing

Discussions For Premiere League To Start In January Ongoing
Aug 23 2023 Share

Malta Premier League chairman Joseph Muscat has expressed his disappointment after the proposal to change the football calendar and have the Premier League start in January was turned down.

Muscat highlighted how the clubs are unanimously in favour of the calendar change as this help Malta’s representatives in the UEFA club competition acquire the best possible results.

Addressing a press conference, Muscat stated that the MPL held talks with clubs from the Challenge League and the National Amateur League. These did not find the necessary backing to adapt the changes.

‘“Our clubs have shown great improvement in their results in recent years. Such a change will further boost their chances of advancing further in the qualifiers and may be reaching the group stages of a UEFA club competition,’ said Muscat.

As the discussion around the calendar change continues, an increase in financial incentives will be given to those clubs who make us of Maltese talent during the 2024-25 competition.

Do you think the Premier League should start in January?

The DJ is currently enjoying his time riding speed boats with Farrugia and, given the local singer’s track record, could a collaborative track be in the pipeline?

Shaun has already worked with the world famous Martin Garrix, releasing two songs with him, ‘Starlight’ and ‘If We’ll Ever Be Remembered’. Shaun has been on a roll ever since, making connections in the industry and getting signed onto labels alongside some of the biggest musical figures worldwide.

We’ll have to wait and see whether we’ll be seeing a Shaun Farrugia x DJ Sigala track soon.
