Gaming for a cause: in aid of Foodbank Lifeline Foundation

The holiday season often means a couple of days of gaming for many, but Velocity Esports Racing have teamed up with level academy to organise a mini F1 2020 Championship in aid of the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation.

In the tournament, participants will be split into groups to race in a series of 5 laps.

In his first reaction interview with Malta Daily, Mater Dei’s Pathology Department Chairman, Dr. Christopher Barbara expressed his pleasure in Malta receiving the COVID-19 vaccine because the country finally has something with which the respond to the virus.

However, Dr. Barbara went on to say that it will not be a quick process until the world rids of COVID-19, exclaiming certainty in the fact that people will start travelling once again and may meet people who have not been vaccinated.

Dr. Barbara went on to state the importance of taking care of our front-liners, vulnerable and elderly as well highlighting the positive effect of herd immunity whilst also appealing to everyone to remain cautious and vigilant, especially during the festive season.

Dalli went on to say that the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine is not only a good day for Malta’s social and economic climate, but for the country’s progress and unity.
