Force 9 winds could return and hit Malta this evening
May 5 2022 Share

It seems as though we aren’t finished with the extremely windy weather as weather news portals are forecasting Force 9 winds for this evening once again.

The first inclination of the forecast came via Facebook page ‘Aġġornament tat-temp’, reporting that the force of the wind is set to reach up to 8 and even 9. The page however reported that it was unsure as to the legitimacy of the forecast, setting it at an 80% likelihood.

According to some international news portals however, the prediction is in fact correct as winds could potentially increase to Force 9 and possibly even 10 throughout the night.

Winds are currently force 4 south-easterly gusts, with temperatures reaching up to 17 degrees Celsius. The winds could die down starting tomorrow, but we could see some rainfall throughout the weekend.

Temperatures are also set to feel like 20 degrees Celsius throughout the entire weekend. Suffice to say, we’ll be experiencing some more confusing weather – we just won’t know which season we should dress up for!

Ok, we have just been gifted the most wholesome video of the week thanks to rising star Shaun Farrugia.

Posting to his social media, local artist Shaun Farrugia uploaded a swipe post captioned ‘April 2022 – best month yet’. And if you swipe to see more, you’ll watch the cutest video of Farrugia with his grandma reacting to his latest song with Martin Garrix.

The pair were in a car awaiting the climax of the song, and his grandmother was absolutely loving it. As soon as the music escalates, his grandmother wastes no time in busting some moves to cheer on her grandson.

And we have to agree with the rest of Farrugia’s caption as his grandmother is just the cutest. April was understandably deemed his best month yet as he released not one, but two songs with international DJ Martin Garrix.

The duo released ‘If We’ll Ever Be Remembered’ in less than a month after their first collaboration ‘Starlight’ hit the sound waves. And we are sure to hear more from the pair as Shaun continues to show us that a Maltese artist can make it anywhere.
