Floriana condemn racist supporter

Aug 16 2021 Share

Last Saturday Floriana began their season, playing against Santa Lucia. The game ended in a 2-2 stalemate, but racist abuse by one particular fan towards new Santa Lucia keeper Julani Archibald was present. Floriana have officially released a statement stating their disapproval of this particular fan’s behavior.

The game started off with a shock Santa Lucia goal in the 20th minute. Floriana waited quite a while to score their season opener, until the 51st minute when goal scorer Kristian Keqi converted a penalty. Santa Lucia clearly missed their lead, as Francisco Farias  scored their and his  second goal of the game, only a minute after Floriana’s penalty. The game ended up in a draw when Daniel Agius equalized for the greens in the 71st minute.

What should have been a memorable outing for the Greens, having their fans back for the first time ended up in a disappointing result and abuse from fans.

Woman claims husband’s plot to have her killed

Woman claims husband's plot to have her killed
Aug 16 2021 Share

A magistrate is currently investigating an alleged assassination case after a woman claimed discovery of evidence that her husband was plotting her assassination during separation proceedings.

Legal procurator Peter Paul Zammit filed documents which read that the woman was “frightened and worried” after finding out that her husband approached an alleged Azeri employee to help find him a hitman.

The woman also provided two conversation recordings which revealed that the man was offered a hefty sum of money to contract a hitman to kill the woman and eventually leave the country. The police are currently investigating this matter and a request for magisterial inquiry has been submitted, with the court to preserve evidence and bring back the Azeri to Malta to testify.

Marco Parascandalo’s self love post is what we all need right now

Aug 16 2021 Share

In a culture which is heavily influenced by the idolised (and dated) version of ‘the perfect self’ imposed on so many developing youths through media, a message like Marco Parascandalo’s one on body positivity and self love is exactly what we needed right now.

A post shared by Marco PARASCANDALO (@skandlu)

The popular fashion designer shared a photo commenting about his self-love journey, sharing the difficulty of struggling with weight due to an equal love for health food as well as indulgence, a sentiment most of us share.

However, he went on to state that he has went through a rollercoaster of a journey to arrive to a point where he doesn’t need anyone’s approval and highlighted that ‘the most important thing is self love.’

The designer has been an advocate for body positivity through his own personal profile as well as his PARASCANDÅLO fashion line for quite a long time and it truly is a breath of fresh air to see people highlight the importance of self-love.
