The Weeknd has announced the release of his new single, “Dancing in the Flames,” the lead track from his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow. Accompanying the single is a music video shot entirely on Apple’s latest iPhone 16 Pro.

The video, directed by Anton Tammi with Erik Henrikkson as the director of photography, showcases the iPhone 16 Pro’s advanced capabilities. Demonstrated at Apple’s It’s Glowtime event, the video was filmed in 4K at 120fps with Dolby Vision. Henrikkson highlighted the device’s performance in managing strong highlights and deep blacks, despite concerns about capturing high-contrast elements such as bright HDMI backlights and rain. “The iPhone 16 Pro effectively bridges the gap between professional and consumer cameras, which is a significant advantage for emerging filmmakers,” Henrikkson stated.

This release marks the final chapter in The Weeknd’s After Hours and Dawn FM trilogy. The album Hurry Up Tomorrow is set to continue the artist’s exploration of innovative music and visual storytelling. The music video for “Dancing in the Flames” is now available for viewing.

Contractors Ordered to Clear Qala Construction Debris

Sep 10 2024 Share

Yesterday, the Mayor of Qala, Paul Buttigieg, expressed his frustration with the local developer’s lack of responsibility, which resulted in construction dust and debris being washed across a major road after heavy rainfall. The situation worsened on Monday morning when residue from a nearby building site was swept across the street due to the downpour.

Buttigieg shared his dissatisfaction in a video uploaded to Facebook, calling the situation “completely unacceptable.” He emphasized that the developer must now take responsibility for cleaning up the mess.

Following the incident, Buttigieg provided an update, stating, “After a timely intervention by the inspectors of the Building & Construction Authority, the contractors were ordered to clean the affected roads and to carry out remedial work to prevent such inconvenience from happening again to the people of Qala.”

He reassured residents that both he and the local council would continue to apply pressure on the developers to prevent any future incidents.
