Yesterday, Malta saw heavy rainfall hitting various parts of the island, with the showers persisting for a good chunk of the afternoon.

According to Maltese weather page ‘It-Temp Madwarna’, well over 30mm – that is, 4 times more the climactic norm of the month – fell in just a few hours.

Other visuals shared by the page explain how Malta was hit by the most intense part of an Afro-Mediterranean storm system.

This weather is set to persist as the weather system, which It-Temp Madwarna highlighted as Cyclone Ines, is only set to intensify.
