15,000 Signature Goal For Jean Paul Sofia Petition Reached
Jul 11 2023 Share

15,000 signatures have been inputted into a petition calling for a public inquiry into the death of Jean Paul Sofia after 5 days since its launch.

The petition was created by his mother Isabelle Bonnici through change.org and anticipates a vote which is set to take place in parliament this Wednesday.

The petition’s goal has now moved to 25,000 signatures, with the petition asking the government to open a public inquiry instead of a magisterial inquiry into the tragedy.

Various political figures and activists have been calling for a public inquiry into the death which took place last December in Corradino.

So far, the government has not shifted the inquiry into a public one, with many asking why and who is being protected behind the magisterial inquiry.

You can find the petition here.
