Get ready for an unforgettable night as Notte Bianca makes its highly anticipated return to Valletta on Saturday, October 5, 2024!

A vibrant, diverse program has just been unveiled, promising over 50 spectacular events spread across the city, showcasing the talents of more than 250 local and international artists.

Minister for National Heritage, Arts, and Local Government, Dr. Owen Bonnici, said;

“This year’s Notte Bianca will offer something for everyone, from families to art enthusiasts, with a dynamic mix of performances that reflect our nation’s rich cultural heritage. Thanks to the dedication of Festivals Malta and its collaborators, we’re delivering a night to remember!”

Aaron Zahra, Chairman of Festivals Malta, added, “Notte Bianca is one of our biggest and most exciting events. It continues to grow each year in scale and creativity. We’re thrilled to see our local artists shine with high-quality performances that will leave the audience in awe.”

Festivals Malta CEO Frans Agius emphasised the focus on homegrown talent, with most events spotlighting Maltese artists. “This festival is a unique platform for artists to showcase their original works, specially crafted for Notte Bianca, demonstrating their passion and creativity.”

Artistic Director Antoine Farrugia teased the festival’s vision: “This year’s program has something for everyone—children, adults, and seniors alike. We’ve reintroduced guided routes to help you explore and make the most of your night!”

Yet Another Man Spotted In Bridal Dress At Airport

Once again, a groom-to-be stole the spotlight at the Malta International Airport, showing up in a bridal gown on his way to his bachelor party with his friends.

Wearing his t-shirt underneath the glowing white dress, complete with a fluffy tutu, he looked spectacular. To add to the fun, he even topped off the outfit with a lovely veil.

As he made his way through the airport and boarded the flight, the dress drew plenty of laughs and smiles from onlookers.

This is yet another trend that has taken Malta by storm, with grooms wearing bridal dresses on the way to their bachelor’s party becoming a sort of right of passage between him and his lads.

Transport Minister Addresses Back To School Traffic

Fielding questions by journalists, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works Chris Bonett said that there are measures in place to attempt to smoothly transition into the back to school period, which is often associated with an increased amount of traffic.

The minister said that it is difficult to predict how the situation will develop, but Transport Malta, along with various other entities, will be taking several measures to address the situation.

Appealing to the general public’s patient and mindful use of the roads, Bonett also extended his invitation to the Opposition for discussions in regards to transport.

He said the the Maltese public is expecting serious and common solutions for the issue of transportation around the islands.

This comes as Transport Malta reveals a number of measures which seek to improve the traffic situation.

These include the suspension of new road work permits near schools, the deployment of 55 enforcement officers & 10 motorbike patrols, as well as free tow truck services during rush hours.

Dar Tal-Providenza Honours Memory of Mirabelle Falzon on 23rd Birthday

Two months ago, on the 19th of July, Mirabelle Falzon passed away following an accident at Munxar Bay.

Dar tal-Providenza honoured her memory on their Facebook page, as today would have been her 23rd birthday.

The organisation thanked her parents and brother, who raised a sum of €1,000 during and after her funeral, which was donated to Dar tal-Providenza.
