Before you even start reading, it is important to understand that the name of the application which you use to communicate with your grandparents and read news articles will still be named Facebook. What will change however is the name of the entire company, which covers Facebook itself, Instagram, Oculus and so much more.

Mark Zuckerberg revealed that the name ‘Meta’ stems from the Greek iteration for ‘beyond’ and it is a direct representation of the company’s fundamental belief; a company which connects people through technology.

A rare “penny black” English postal stamp is expected to go for over $8.25 million USD (€7.07 million) at Sotheby’s in December.

The stamp illustrates a 15-year-old Queen Victoria and has been called “unequivocally the most importance piece of philatelic history to exist” by the head of Sotheby’s treasures sale Henry House.

The stamp was first issued in 1840 and was part of a commerce and communication revolution which allowed individuals to ship a letter for just a penny. For this reason, the stamp is a representation of “the very dawn of social communication” and beyond that, it is one of three left in existence.
