Endurance athlete Fabio Spiteri is currently undertaking his ambitious Project 100, competing in the Deca Continuous race at the Bretzel Ultra Triathlon (BUT) one of the most demanding endurance events in France. The race began on Sunday, 22nd June, and is still ongoing.
Now several days into the challenge, Fabio has already completed a 38-kilometre swim, followed by 1,210 kilometres of the 1,800-kilometre cycling leg including an impressive 400 kilometres in just the last 24 hours all while battling soaring temperatures reaching 37°C.
Despite clear signs of fatigue and the physical toll of long hours in the saddle, Fabio remains in excellent form mentally focused and physically determined. His dedicated support crew is doing everything possible to keep him strong as he relentlessly pushes through lap after lap.
With plans to continue cycling through Thursday and Friday, the goal is to complete the bike section by Day 6, allowing him to begin the final phase—the run—before the end of the week.
His team reports that Fabio is staying highly motivated and continues to perform at an extraordinary pace.
