Real Life Martha Claims Richard Gadd Asked If She’d ‘Like Her Curtains Fixed’

Real Life Martha Claims Richard Gadd Asked If She'd 'Like Her Curtains Fixed'
May 10 2024 Share

In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Fiona Harvey, the Scottish lawyer known as the “real Martha” from Richard Gadd’s Netflix hit Baby Reindeer, criticized the series as “obscene” and “defamatory.” Harvey acknowledged that she possessed a toy that inspired the show’s title but emphasized that the series itself was a “work of hyperbole” and “fiction.” She also hinted at potential legal action against the streaming platform.

The controversy escalated after Harvey disclosed an alleged encounter with Gadd, during which he purportedly asked her to “sleep with me,” echoing a scene from the series. Despite Gadd’s urging for fans not to delve into the real-life inspirations behind the show, curiosity persisted, leading Harvey to appear on Piers Morgan Uncensored to clarify her stance.

Baby Reindeer is based on Gadd’s personal experience with an alleged stalker named Martha, portrayed by Gadd himself in a fictionalized manner. However, Harvey’s revelations have raised doubts about the show’s authenticity, with her willingness to challenge its accuracy in a court of law.

Son of Boating Hit And Run Victim Hits Back At Jason Azzopardi For ‘Reopening Old Wounds’

May 10 2024 Share

The son of Charles Brignone, who sadly lost his life way back in August 2012 in a tragic boating hit and run, has slammed Jason Azzopardi for ‘reopening wounds’ after using a boating hit and run incident as a cryptic reference against Prime Minister Robert Abela.

Romario Brignone’s father was sadly hit on the head by a propeller while snorkling in Marsascala, during a family camping trip in Żonqor.

Azzopardi’s post which read “Prime (minister), how long will you hold onto the buoy? The truth of the inquiry will come out. This is not a hit and run at sea. Those from the south have not forgotten what happened in Marsascala in 2012,”, references a boating hit and run incident which happened in 2012 in Marsascala but he later told Times of Malta that he was referring to another incident.

Romario in a Facebook post responding to Azzopardi’s post stated that “Almost 12- years, that’s how long it took for this wound to re-open for me, my mother Josianne Brignone and other family members regarding my father’s case,”

Brignone also confirmed that he personally messaged the lawyer asking whether he had more information to what he had posted on Facebook. He stated that “His reply was simple that he does not know about my father’s case, and that he was not referring to that case but another one”.

He ended his response post by saying “If you tried to use my father’s case for ulterior motives or to send a message you must have no heart. Don’t throw a bomb like that after 12 years without considering anything. Shame. I cannot believe it,”

When asked by Times of Malta which incident he was referring to, Jason Azzopardi would not answer.
