A former constable for the Malta Police Force has been accused of the rape of a fellow constable and the sexual assault of another constable from the Msida Police Department and has put forward a number of exceptions to annul the accusations against him by the Attorney General.
The former officer, whose name cannot be published due to a court order, is denying the accusations made against him between 2017 and 2019 for sexual acts on a 23-year-old and a 19-year-old constable and is also reported to have previously made rough advances, including the inappropriate groping of the colleagues.
It is also reported that the accused would threaten one of the victims that if she reported him, he would turn the story against her. This newsroom has contacted the Malta Police Force to see whether it will take any measures to ensure a safe environment and an issue like this would not happen again.
