Watch: Chelsea fan tells Timo Werner to get out of the club

Aug 19 2021 Share

Last weekend, champions of Europe Chelsea had an open training session where fans were allowed to see the players train. The fans were also allowed to ask questions on a loud speaker. This ultimately went wrong when one fan told player Timo Werner to get out of the club, after the disappointing season he had.

The fan who told the Chelsea presenter  “Let’s have it right… Timo Werner get out of my club.” was then berated by another fan. This fan went viral on Twitter, and was made a legend by most Chelsea fans.  After the event, she tweeted many tweets some funny and some serious.

Werner hasn’t had the best of times in London. In his first season with the Blues he didn’t show the goal scoring prowess he showed in Germany. This year he will be partnered up with Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku who has just won a historic Scudetto with Inter Milan. The player also posted on Twitter.

We wish Timo and Chelsea the best of luck in their season.

More dog-friendly beaches requested by Animal Welfare Commissioner

Aug 19 2021 Share

Animal welfare commissioner Alison Bezzina has called for an increase in dog-friendly beaches and increased education on the subject in the midst of national debate on the matter. Bezzina stated that discussions with the relevant entities and authorities are currently underway regarding the possibility of an increase in dog-friendly beaches.

The final decision will ultimately be taken by the Environmental Health Directorate and Superintendent for Public Health. The World Health Organization’s (WHO) current guidelines state that dogs affect the water’s quality and people’s health.

Malta currently has seven dog-friendly beaches while Gozo has two. Anyone caught breaking the law and taking their dogs to other beaches may be subject eligible for a fine of up to €4,658 or a six-month prison sentence for the first infraction and up to €11,646 or a two-year prison sentence for the second.

Lionel Messi's press conference tissue is selling for $1 million
Aug 19 2021 Share

Of all of the things Lionel Messi is being associated with at the moment, one of the key words is ‘money’ as the Argentinian football superstar is selling kits and merchandise left, right and centre and shows no signs of slowing down.

However, one piece of Messi memorabilia that definitely caught everyone off guard is the tissue he used during the emotional FC Barcelona farewell press conference, which is selling for a whopping $1 million.

The tissue was reportedly obtained by an anonymous man who sat in the front row of the press conference and managed to pick it up, going on to put it on international auction site Meikeduo.

The unique sales pitch attached with the auction of this tissue is that it “contains Messi’s genetic material”; the tissue remains for sale without any bids as of yet.
