Eminem Surpasses Drake in Spotify Monthly Listeners
Jun 14 2024 Share

To no surprise, Eminem has reached a new high  with over 80 million monthly listeners on Spotify. With no hesitation Eminem pushed Drake back to the no.8 spot to the World’s highest monthly listeners list.

While Drake’s following continues to shrink (it was over 80 million a few days ago), Eminem is only going up from here.

Although Eminem experienced a recent dip, his new single, ‘Houdini’, is growing in streams again, this winning streak is only going to continue from here.

Which rapper do you prefer from the both?

Jun 14 2024 Share

Taking to social media, Education Minister Clifton Grima expressed his ‘absolute disagreement’ with the recent initiative taken by MCAST to have Malta Police officers conducting searches on campus.

‘A campus environment should be very different from this. I absolutely disagree with the decision and will be getting involved immediately’, wrote Minister Grima.

‘This decision was taken on an administrative level, which has absolutely no support from me in terms of policy’.

He concluded by saying that whilst there are challenges which require certain interventions (as do all campuses around the world), this action is too drastic.

Meteotsunami: Imsida Hit By Flooding Yesterday

Meteotsunami: Imsida Hit By Flooding Yesterday
Jun 14 2024 Share

People in Imsida yesterday may have noted a significant rise in water levels yesterday as the locality was hit by a meteotsunami.

Oceanography Malta Group at the University of Malta explained that these phenomena are triggered by rapid atmospheric pressure changes, often associated with severe weather.

This was detected by the scientists at UM using ‘cutting edge sea level radars and atmospheric pressure sensors ‘strategically placed along our coast.’

A meteotsunami is a tsunami-like sea wave caused by rapid barometric pressure changes, often due to severe weather like thunderstorms and squalls. Unlike regular tsunamis, meteotsunamis result from atmospheric disturbances and are enhanced by coastal features like bays and inlets.
