Edward Zammit Lewis apologises to Labour voters; warns of fake leaflet making rounds

Following the recent controversy surrounding certain WhatsApp messages and comments made towards Labour voters, Justice Minister Edward Zammit Lewis has issued a statement regarding another ongoing issue within the Eighth District.

The Minister reported that a leaflet with a fraudulent signature of his own is being distributed within the district and categorically denied his and his team’s involvement in the distribution of such a leaflet, calling it an ‘organised campaign of political assassination’.

The Minister went on to say that he has ‘remained with his mouth shut for many days’ but highlighted that such an act exceeds the limit of political decency, and while apologising to Labour voters for certain comments which ‘were taken out of context’, promised that he will still be of service to the people and party.
