After seeing Ed with a number 17 kit, the owners decided to offer him the squad number and a place in the squad.  Sheeran told the official club website “This is bonkers really, isn’t it!” and “When Ipswich told me I thought they were joking but I love the idea.”  Sheeran  said that he thinks that this season will be a good season, he also admitted to himself that he won’t get near any playing time. When this news came out, many football fans were curious to see if popular football games FIFA and Football Manager would add Ed to Ipswich’s squads in their next edition.

Hacker posts unsolicited photos on Tarxien Council Facebook page

Hacker posts unsolicited photos on Tarxien council Facebook page
Aug 10 2021 Share

The Tarxien council’s Facebook page was taken over by nonsensical gibberish posts and photos of Asian-women. The hacking allegedly took place last week, with the first posts appearing at around 8:45pm on Wednesday 4th August 2021. Councillor Christian Pace confirmed the hacking, stating that the council is working to recover the page as soon as possible.

The first three posts were mostly gibberish – with a slew of letters and numbers posted on the page. The fourth post however garnered the attention of many, as a photo of an Asian woman wearing a red dress in a car and captioned with a smiley face was uploaded to the page.

Some took the opportunity to mock the hacking, whereas others pointed out that the local council was aware and was working tirelessly to reclaim the page from the hands of the hacker.

Ligue 1 changes entire rule for Messi

Aug 10 2021 Share

Lionel Messi will reportedly not take close friend Neymar’s number 10 jersey. PSG has instead offered the Argentinian the number 30, paying homage to his early days as he made his professional debut in the number 30 shirt.  In Ligue 1 (French League) there is a rule that states the numbers 1, 16 and 30 can only be used by goalkeepers.

Knowing the financial benefits a player like Messi will bring to the table, Ligue 1 are reported to be willing to change the rule. The League is said to be helping PSG in any way possible as signing the Argentinian will undoubtedly increase revenue and viewership, in a time were it is needed.

Many players before Messi have suffered from this rule. New PSG signing Gianluigi Donnarumma had to take the number 50 shirt, as his beloved 99 is unavailable and fellow Italian Mario Balotelli also had to change his shirt number from 45 to 9, in his brief stint in France with Nice and Marseille.
