The footage displays a disordered scene at the ferry queue, where numerous vehicles, particularly large trucks, appear to have been left behind as cars boarded. Amidst the confusion, an audibly upset driver in the video criticises the handling of the situation, pointing out that this was the fourth ferry to depart while prioritising smaller vehicles, and highlighted that the MV Nikolaos remained stationary at the dock throughout the incident. The video has raised questions about the ferry service’s management and prioritisation protocol.

Further details on how the ferry service plans to address these concerns have not been disclosed yet. The incident has prompted calls for a review of the queuing and boarding procedures at the terminal.

PN States That Robert Abela Is Bringing Down The Country To Save Himself

May 7 2024 Share

The Nationalist Party have released a scathing statement about the reaction of the Prime Minister Robert Abela to yesterday’s news of former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and other former Labour officials being criminally charged and accused.

The party stated that on a day where reportedly justice was supposed to be served, the Prime Minister instead of letting the legal institution work decided to ignore them and save himself.

During a press conference, Leader of Opposition Bernard Grech alleged that the Prime Minister thinks that he has the jurisdiction to charge and take care of justice rather than the courts. He also stated that Robert Abela did a whole discussion complaining about the integrity of the magistrates, journalists and of the courts.

The Nationalist Party went on to say that it is clear that all Robert Abela is trying to do is save himself and that the State Advocate cannot deprive the findings of the inquiry from the public and that it is their right to know what was officially found.

According to the Nationalist Party, Robert Abela is confused and has his back against the wall and as a result has gone on a viscous attack on the media and courts and provided nothing to parliament.

They reminded the public that the Nationalist Party were the ones that brought independence to Malta and got the island into the EU and will reportedly succeed into bringing justice to Malta.

Replay Host Urges Joseph Muscat To Resign

Replay Host Urges Joseph Muscat To Resign
May 7 2024 Share

Journalist and NET TV’s ‘Replay’ host Christian Micallef has urged former Prime Minister and current Premier League Chairman Joseph Muscat to resign from the latter position.

In a social media statement, Micallef wrote how he showed respect to the person and the Premier League teams when they chose Joseph Muscat to take the position.

Saying that despite being able to make a distinction between politics and football and despite disagreeing with Muscat politically, he did not include politics into the game of football.

‘However, at this moment, as a person who lives Maltese football everyday, I cannot not speak out for the good of the game.’

‘It could have been anyone else and not Joseph Muscat, but I would have said the same: considering all that is going on, Muscat has to have the decency to resign from the chairman position until he clears his name.’

‘If not, the clubs need to put forth a vote of confidence or no confidence in regards to him’.

‘If we want football to be clean of politics, this is the only road Muscat should take at this moment. He should only return when or/and if he is cleared of every confrontation against him.’

Reiterating the support he’s shown him despite his previous political leadership, he says that this moment requires such a move by Muscat so as not to taint the game of football.

What do you think?
