Dolphins are back! Sightings off Maltese shores ahead of summer
May 7 2023 Share

Footage shared on social media shows the first glimpse of dolphins leaping around in Maltese waters as summer begins to make its way to the islands.

The footage was shared by Christina Mangion from St Paul’s Islands, and shows the magnificent sea mammal (or multiple?) taking leaps out of the sea a short distance away from Maltese shores.

Last year, videos and snapshots of dolphins enjoying local waters were all the rage. And it seems as though we’ll have plenty more sightings this year!

The Busker took to the intimate stage to entertain an audience of fans ahead of their grand semifinal, which will hopefully move to the final night of the Eurovision Song Contest this upcoming week.

The Cavern Club, which opened as a jazz club back in 1957, became a centre of the rock and roll scene in Liverpool and cultivated an association with the likes of Merseybeat and the legendary Beatles.

And from the looks of it, David, donning his now sought after iconic sweater, and the rest of the gang, made sure to live up to the club’s status with an energetic performance.

Stranger Things Season 5 filming delayed due to writer’s strike

Stranger Things Season 5 filming delayed due to writer’s strike
May 7 2023 Share

Stranger Things is but one of many shows and films impacted by the ongoing strikes by the Writers Guild of America, which are the first of their kind since 2007.

The labour union which represents more than 1,000 entertainment writers working across various media, are striking because the deadline for a new contract passed on May 1st without a ratified contract.

After failed negotiations, everything from shows to late-night chat shows experienced the blunt of the impact.

The Duffer Brothers, the co-creators and co-show runners of Stranger Things, took to Twitter via @strangerwriters to say that:

‘Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we’re excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then – over and out.’

The brothers also ended the post with #wgastrong, expressing their support for the guild and their attempt at getting a fair deal for their work.
