Dolly Parton gets jab of vaccine she helped fund

Mar 3 2021 Share

75-year-old famous country music star Dolly Parton enthusiastically filmed herself getting the first dose of the vaccine she helped fund. Parton even adapts her famous song ‘Jolene’ into a pandemic related anthem, changing the title character’s name into ‘Vaccine’. Parton has funded the Moderna vaccine, for which she received immense praise.

Parton blended her humorous approach of getting the jab with the seriousness of the matter, stating she is both old and smart enough to get vaccinated. This is due to vaccine hesitancy being a major concern of the population, even though President Joe Biden has assured there will be enough vaccine for every adult in the country by end of May.
