Destiny jumps into second place in Eurovision 2021 polls

May 20 2021 Share

In the midst of an intense and ever-changing Eurovision Song Contest 2021, Malta’s ambassador Destiny Chukunyere has jumped into second place with her song ‘Je Me Casse’.

Malta holds an 18% chance of winning, just below Italy’s Måneskin with 21%, who have yet to deliver a performance of their song ‘Zitti e Buoni’ beyond their rehearsal performance.

Italy, along with France, England, Germany and Spain automatically qualify to the Eurovision Finals as a result of being part of the contest ‘Big Five’ thanks to their considerable financial contributions.

Meanwhile, a number of Italian social media posts have been circulating online which highlight Malta’s potential as a Eurovision winner and urge fellow Italian Eurovision fanatics to hold back from voting for their favourites in an attempt to ‘help’ Italy’s chances at winning the song contest.
