Posting on social media, Destiny said that she needed a short break to recharge… and with reason, having given her all in Rotterdam, completely rocking the stage and making Malta immensely proud.

Destiny also teased what is in store for her as well, stating ‘Now I’m back and I’m looking forward to turn the great opportunities I have into reality!’ Fans can only speculate what the talented singer has in store, with some referencing her Sony contract she managed to land earlier this year as a possible avenue. Whatever step she takes, we are all sure she will give her 100% and we will all be there to support her blooming career.

Dusseldorf and Berlin added to Air Malta’s summer schedule

Dusseldorf and Berlin added to Air Malta’s summer schedule
May 29 2021 Share

Air Malta will operate flights to Berlin and Dusseldorf this summer due to strong booking demand coming from the German market. An airline spokesperson told Times of Malta that Air Malta will be adding twice weekly direct services to Dusseldorf and Berlin – with operations to Berlin starting June 28 every Monday and Wednesday, and then to shift to Wednesday and Saturday as of August 4th. Flights to Dusseldorf will start on July 3rd on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Plans to fly to Russia (Moscow) and Israel (Tel Aviv) have been retracted however, all in view of ‘absence of safe corridors between Malta and Israel and between Malta and Russia, and consequential weak booking positions.’ The two countries are still part of Air Malta’s future network plans. With June 1st, the reopening of tourism date, just next Tuesday, Malta seems to be gearing up for a busy summer.

Illegal gatherings continue to rise in prediction fulfilment

Illegal gatherings continue to rise in prediction fulfilment
May 29 2021 Share

In a fulfilment of the ‘partying black market’ prediction by Pocci, photos have been surfacing showing large groups gathered and huddled together despite the current health restrictions. These gatherings seem to be on the rise as speculated by professional events organisers. They stated that people are fed up of staying indoors and having the entertainment sector closed and thus have to resort to illegal gatherings such as these.

Many have called for authorities to work on the situation by finding ways to reopen the entertainment and cultural sectors in safe ways. Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne has in fact just recently revealed that vaccination certificates will be issued in the coming week to allow for a gradual return to normality. The events will still be small and collected however as health authorities still advise that an unchecked reopening would not fare well.

The final season of immensely popular ‘Peaky Blinders’ has wrapped up filming. Director Anthony Byrne shared on Instagram that the cast and crew are ‘Done and Done and Done’, bringing fans closer to seeing the climax of the soon to be 6 season arc. Tommy Shelby and his crew will be rounding up their story arcs in this final season, with actor Cillian Murphy stating that it will be very weird to finally say goodbye to his character.

Cillian also pointed out that it was immensely difficult shooting this final season without Helen McCrory, who played Polly, having just passed away. This last season is being dedicated fully to her. If being this close to the ending feels too bittersweet, fret not, for creator Steven Knight has repeatedly hinted at a movie for the franchise’s full ending. So there might still be a bit left of Peaky Blinders.
