In a Parliamentary statement on Tuesday, former Finance Minister Professor Edward Scicluna stated that he will be resigning as a Member of Parliament in the coming days.
Professor Scicluna highlighted his ‘overall pleasant’ experience during his time in politics and close to 8 years within Parliament and thanked his fellow members, parliamentary staff and others.
He concluded by encouraging others to enter the political scene so that they can contribute to the country to the best of their abilities.

In a Parliamentary sitting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne stated that the COVID-19 vaccine will be given within days.
This follows the European Medicines Agency’s moving forward of the vaccine approval date from the 29th of December to Monday 21st December.
Dr. Fearne also appealed for caution during this holiday season as we move closer to the light at the end of the tunnel.

Prof. Gauci stated how humbled she is by receiving this honour and through the pandemic, we have grown together as a country.
