Dav. Jr Opens Up About Eurovision Post-Performance Panic Attack

The Busker just announced the launch of their new podcast-documentary on their experience at the 2023 Eurovision as Malta’s representatives.

The podcast was released on youtube and they tackled various topics such as the final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, the process of creating the song, and also their feelings as they approached the stage.

They also revealed that they decided to apply for Eurovision 30 days from the deadline and that the “I feel better in my sweater” lyric came just 14 days before the submission date. They also recorded the vocals of the winning song just 6 days before they submitted it.

In a heartfelt moment, Dav. Jr even opened up about his panic attack after their Eurovision performance and what lead to it.

Graceful Turtle Filmed Off Maltese Coast

Alan Deidun took to social media to share footage of a loggerhead turtle shared with him by diver Gordon Scott.

The turtle was sporting red, turfing alga on its head and carapace, filmed at the northernmost tip of the island.

‘This is one of just 2 marine turtle species known to nest so far in the Mediterranean Sea’, explained Deidun.

‘The loggerhead sea turtle has a low reproductive rate; females lay an average of four egg clutches and then become quiescent, producing no eggs for two to three years.’

‘The loggerhead reaches sexual maturity within 17–33 years and has a lifespan of 47–67 years. The loggerhead sea turtle is omnivorous, feeding mainly on bottom-dwelling invertebrates.’

PN Call For Publication Of 17 Black & Panama Papers Inquiry

The Nationalist Party (PN) has renewed its call for the full publication of the Magistrates’ Inquiry into the 17 Black company and the Panama Papers.

Concerns have been raised after the Attorney General refused to release the report, not even to Simon Busuttil and David Casa, who were instrumental in initiating the investigation.

The PN has criticised the Attorney General for failing to meet her obligation to make the inquiry’s findings public. Shadow Ministers Claudette Buttigieg and Darren Carabott held a press conference outside Castille, stating that the Attorney General’s refusal to share the report demonstrates a lack of transparency.

They reiterated their party’s stance that the findings must be published to ensure accountability and justice.

The inquiry was launched following the efforts of former PN leader Simon Busuttil and MEP David Casa, who pushed for action after inaction by authorities, including the Police Commissioner.

The case was initially brought to light by journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, who exposed 17 Black’s links to former Minister Konrad Mizzi and Chief of Staff Keith Schembri before her assassination.

The PN also highlighted concerns about government interference in investigations, citing irregularities in high-profile cases such as the Electrogas power station and Vitals hospitals contracts. These cases, initially linked to mismanagement, are now believed to involve criminal wrongdoing.

The PN affirmed it will continue to push for the publication of the inquiry, emphasising that the Maltese people deserve to know the truth about corruption allegations and the misuse of public funds.
