Apple Surpasses $2 Trillion In iPhone Sales

Nov 2 2024 Share

Apple has reached a major milestone, surpassing $2 trillion in cumulative iPhone sales.

In its most recent quarter, the company reported a 6% increase in iPhone revenue, bringing sales to $46.22 billion.

This growth follows two quarters of declines and helped Apple beat analysts’ forecasts for revenue and profit, despite a one-time $10.2 billion tax charge tied to an EU ruling.

Without the charge, Apple’s earnings per share would have been $1.64, outpacing the anticipated $1.60.

The quarter also marked the launch of the AI-focused iPhone 16, introducing “Apple Intelligence”—a suite of AI tools designed to enhance Siri and other features.

According to CEO Tim Cook, Apple Intelligence initially offers U.S.-exclusive capabilities, with international availability set for December.

Among the tools will be an option to connect directly with ChatGPT, broadening users’ access to conversational AI.

This strategic push into AI reflects Apple’s efforts to boost global appeal and align with shifting industry trends, reinforcing the iPhone’s position at the forefront of mobile technology.

Christmas Markets Where “Browsing” Means “Eating Everything”

Christmas markets in Malta mean food stalls galore! Sure, we’ll browse a few craft stands, but let’s be real – we’re here to sample every warm pastry and sugary treat within arm’s reach.

Holiday Lights that are Bright Enough to See from Gozo

Why settle for subtle? Malta’s Christmas lights turn our cities into sparkling wonderlands where “less is more” is simply not a rule. Get ready for streets that glow brighter than a disco.

Summer Vibes on Christmas Day

While the rest of the world layers up, we’re rocking shorts on Christmas Day. It’s the Maltese way: basking in 20-degree weather while sipping hot cocoa just because we can.

Overindulging on Honey Rings and Panettone
Who needs fruitcake? Maltese honey rings and never-ending panettone are the real Christmas heroes here. Calories don’t count in December, right?

Christmas Staff Parties

Let’s just say it’s the season to “unwind” with the team… one (or two… or three) glasses of bubbly at a time. The holiday spirit hits hard!

“Malta is a Character”: Denzel Washington & Stars Praise Malta

Nov 2 2024 Share

In a recent video shared by film commissioner Johann Grech, acclaimed actor Denzel Washington praised Malta as more than just a filming location, describing it as a “character” in its own right.

“You can feel the history here, and it was a perfect place to shoot,” said Washington, shining a light on the island’s unique atmosphere and historic backdrop, which enriches the visual narrative of any production in particular their production of ‘Gladiator II’. Alongside him, Pedro Pascal echoed the sentiment, underlining the importance of location in creating cinematic depth.

The video also features Aidan Elliott, the executive producer of Gladiator II, who lauded Malta as one of the world’s best filming destinations. He highlighted the island’s talented crew, skilled in managing large-scale, complex productions, as a key asset for filmmakers. According to Elliott, Malta’s versatility and expertise make it an attractive choice for high-profile projects.

The video wrapped up with Washington’s declaration that “this is the biggest film that [he’s] been on,” a testament to the ambition and scale of the upcoming blockbuster.
