Following the release of Spotify Wrapped 2023, Malta’s very own D’Amato Records, which boasts the title of the world’s oldest record shop, has unveiled its own top selling artist. 

And, as was the case with Spotify’s list, Taylor Swift emerged as the top selling artist in this case as well!

D’Amato Records will be revealing the best of the best for 2023 during December. 

‘Some of you thought it might be Lana Del Rey or The Beatles, but our top selling artist for this year is actually none other than Taylor Swift’, wrote the shop’s Instagram page. 

Swift has continued to dominate charts, emerging first in the top 10 artists globally list, as well as having two songs on the top 10 songs globally list. She also boasts two albums on the top 10 albums globally on Spotify.

And it seems as though Malta is no stranger to the Swift craze!

Celebrating three decades since Macaulay Culkin charmed audiences as Kevin McCallister in “Home Alone,” the iconic actor was honoured with the 2,765th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 

Surrounded by loved ones, including Catherine O’Hara, who portrayed his on-screen mom, and Natasha Lyonne from “The Righteous Gemstones,” Culkin’s milestone was a family affair. Fiancée Brenda Song, overcome with emotion, and their two sons shared in the joy of the achievement.

During the ceremony, heartfelt speeches were delivered by O’Hara and Lyonne, acknowledging Culkin’s enduring contribution to Hollywood over his 43-year career.

In his own gratitude-filled speech, Culkin expressed appreciation for those who shaped his career and, turning to his family, particularly lauded Brenda. 

Acknowledging her as his champion and the source of purpose and family, he humorously ranked her among his top three favorite people after the birth of their two sons, Dakota and their younger child born quietly in March 2021.

Following the delicious success of last year’s chocolate Christmas tree, the Hilton Malta staff have created the next festive season chocolate wonder: Santa Claus’ full Arctic village!

With a five level cake, fully equipped with houses which Santa’s elves can probably comfortably fit into, the edible creation is yet another testament to this staff’s ingenuity and skill.

With benches, Christmas trees, telephone boxes and many other little details, it’s a genuine pity that Santa’s village will eaten up given how amazing it looks.

A video uploaded to TikTok resulted in the praise of a local McDonald’s employee who remained calm and professional in a heated argument.

The video shows a woman facing the staff over fries which were allegedly not served ‘large’, despite the woman’s request. 

Whether this was the case or not, the employee who addressed the situation was praised for retaining his poise despite the angry yells thrown at him.
