A pair of common cuttlefish were spotted recently in shallow waters at St Julian’s.
The species, known as ‘siċċ’ in Maltese, are marine molluscs and posses a unique internal shell which they used for control of buoyancy.
‘Such a species normally lays its eggs between the months of March and June’, explained Alan Deidun.
