Taking to TikTok, travel creator @sir___sammy expressed his absolute love for Malta, saying that there’s no one great thing about it because there’s multiple great things about it.

‘If it’s not the food, it’s the people. If it’s not the people, it’s the sun. If it’s not the sun, it’s the fact that the country is a Mediterranean country.’

The best thing in Malta! ❤️ #malta #maltatiktok #maltatiktok #fyp

‘Even if you leave Malta and go abroad to one of the best countries in the world, you’ll always find that Malta’s calling you back.’

‘What’s the reason, I don’t know’, he continued, going on to compare the island to an ex that doesn’t want to let you go. ‘But in this case, you want that ex back.’

Sammy claimed to have visited the island hundreds of times and always returns – that there’s something indescribable about it he cannot put into words.

What do you think?

EU Institute Of Innovation & Technology Supports Malta Manufacturing Start-Up

EU Institute Of Innovation & Technology Supports Malta Manufacturing Start-Up
Jan 28 2025 Share

ELM Fabrication Limited, a Maltese start-up specialising in large-format 3D printing technology, has launched a project to develop the most accessible large-format 3D printing technology to enter the 3D Printing Farm market.

This project is being supported by EIT Manufacturing, the Knowledge Innovation Community (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, which aims specifically to improve people’s lives through sustainable manufacturing.

ELM Fabrication’s project is being developed in partnership with two Greek companies, Monolithos Limited and 3DHUB. While ELM will be the technology and business owner, Monolithos and 3DHUB will provide their expertise on sourcing novel recycled 3D printing materials, validating the technology and be the first to distribute the technology in their region.

This partnership was created also thanks to the networking opportunities which EIT Manufacturing provides for companies across the EU. Ing. Nicholas Borg Calleja, the founder of ELM Fabrication, said, “The large-format 3D printing technology we’re developing will disrupt verticals such as furniture, film making, trade shows and other industries which continue to rely on traditional and linear workflows that use virgin material such as timber to develop products. Thanks to the support of EIT Community RIS Hub Malta and together with my co-founder Ing David Sciberras, we were able to access support from EIT Manufacturing who have been great in giving us the support and finding the partners we need to get this project up and running. By the end of 2025 we aim to be ready to market.”

Diana Miceli, EIT Community Officer in Malta, said, “The European Institute of Innovation & Technology operates KICs across multiple sectors such as Health, Food, Digitalisation, Mobility, Cultural Heritage, Sustainable Energy and, of course, Manufacturing. Having established a community hub in Malta last year, it’s great to see the first projects get off the ground. Maltese start-ups like ELM Fabrication have the opportunity, through EIT, to access to support they need to make their innovation ideas a reality.”

White House Releases First Lady Melania Trump’s Official Portrait

White House Releases First Lady Melania Trump’s Official Portrait
Jan 28 2025 Share

The White House unveiled the official portrait of First Lady Melania Trump on Monday, captured by Belgian photographer Régine Mahaux in the Yellow Oval Room, just one day before her and President Donald Trump’s 20th wedding anniversary.

The initial release mistakenly listed the year as 2024, but the First Lady’s office later clarified the correct date.

This release follows the earlier unveiling of portraits for President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, ahead of the inauguration.

Born outside the U.S., Melania is the second First Lady from abroad and the first to become a naturalised citizen in America.

In addition to her role at the inauguration, she also joined President Trump in North Carolina to assess hurricane damage. However, her specific focus for this term remains unclear, although she has previously championed children’s causes and expressed strong support for military families.
