Nigella had previously explored Bajada’s cookbook in July 2023, spending a week experimenting with recipes from the beautifully written collection.

She praised the book in a blog post, calling it a “love letter” to Mediterranean cuisine. “Just reading the book made me happy, and cooking from it has ensured bliss all round,” she wrote.

Earlier in 2023, Nigella also featured a recipe for Arjoli dip from the same book, showcasing Bajada’s influence.

Her recent return to the cookbook for a Guest Recipe demonstrates the lasting impact Bajada’s dishes have had on her culinary journey.

This time, she chose to prepare the indulgent Imqarrun il-Forn, sharing her appreciation for its flavors and the cookbook that continues to inspire her.
