Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has just bagged his 700th club goal during the Manchester win against Everton on Sunday.
The goal brought up the Portugal forward’s tally to 144 for Manchester United across his two spells with the group. Looking at the 37-year-old’s career, Ronaldo scored 450 goals for Real Madrid, 101 for Juventus and 5 for Sporting Lisbon.
Ronaldo started the latest game on the bench, entering the match to sub injured Anthony Martial in the 29th minute. He proved the monumental goal 15 minutes later.
At club level, Ronaldo is the all-time top scorer in the Champions League with 140 goals, just 13 more than his long time rival Lionel Messi.
Most of his goals in his careers came off his right foot, accounting for 66% of total net-finds. In contrast, 17% of the goals were headers. The majority of the goals also came from inside the box, with 473 of his goals being within this area.
