For the fourth time in his historic career and for the second year running, Portuguese global star Cristiano Ronaldo has been named as the Forbes Highest-Paid Athlete of the year.
This year round he beat out LIV golf star John Rahm who couldn’t beat Ronaldo’s $260 million earnt this year.
$200 million comes from his insane yearly salary with Saudi club Al Nassr whilst the other $60 million comes from off the field earnings including sponsorship deals with Nike, Binance and Herbalife.
Fellow football icon Lionel Messi has dropped down to third on the list behind the Spanish golfer with a cool $135 million earnt following his blockbuster move to the States with David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
The top 5 is rounded up by NBA stars Lebron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo, with more football stars like Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr and Karim Benzema all making the top ten.
