Today’s top scorer of the world, Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo has broken the record for most goals scored in international soccer matches (male) following the Portugal vs Ireland match on 1st September 2021. Flashback to 2003 when Ronaldo was described as ‘one of the most exciting young players [he’d] ever seen’ by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The player shared the record with Ali Daei of Iran, who scored 109 goals between 1993 and 2006. Ronaldo broke his own record just a few minutes before the end of the match against Ireland by scoring his 111th goal. Daei was captain of the Iran national football team and started coaching in 2006. Ronaldo also holds the title for most Champions League goals as well as most goals in a UEFA Champions League season by an individual (17). He is also the highest-rated player in FIFA 18, with an overall rate of 99%, just 1 percent ahead of Messi and Pele.

Beef between Kanye West and… Peppa Pig?

Beef between Kanye West and… Peppa Pig?
Sep 3 2021 Share

It’s no doubt that Kanye West’s new album ‘DONDA’ captured the attention of most of social media upon release. However, online music publication ‘Pitchfork’ gave the album a 6.0 score out of 10, making it yet another controversial opinion about the 27-song record. The team behind Peppa Pig jumped at the opportunity, pointing out that ‘Peppa’s Adventures: The Album’ scored 0.5 more points than DONDA. The tweet read: ‘Peppa didn’t need to host listening parties at Mercedes Benz Stadium to get that 0.5’. The audacity.

The post was sadly deleted from the page and no one knows whether it was because it was due to backlash from Ye stars or just it was internally perceived as in bad taste. Despite this, the team still responded to at least one tweet re-sharing the ongoing beef. Peppa Pig Official commented a crown emoji after a Twitter user reposted the fact that the jab at West was deleted and that ‘even Peppa ended Kanye’. What do you make of this most bizarre beef (pun intended) between these two pop culture giants?

Sep 3 2021 Share

In an interview with MaltaDaily, Martina Fenech reveals all the struggles which COVID-19 force upon cancer patients. Fenech reveals that COVID-19 both directly and indirectly impacts these patients. The necessary restrictions forced those battling the disease to face it on their own or with fewer loved ones. Cancer patients do not enter hospital for a set time but have to undergo constant visitations with a level of uncertainty as to their health.

Fenech also spoke about how the pandemic impacted the therapy these patients have to go through. Some patients had to travel abroad, often two weeks before their treatment actually beings due to mandatory quarantine. Some have been refuted treatment due to COVID-19, resulting in the cancer being spread more throughout their body. Being more responsible, wearing masks and adhering to social distancing could be what saves these people’s lives. Fenech’s interview is a call to look at things from a bigger perspective and be more responsible for the sake of the vulnerable.
