The police have introduced a new online service through the Remote Reporting Unit (RRU), allowing individuals to file police reports from home. Announced on Monday, this service lets users fill out an online form to directly communicate with a police officer.

Users can provide report details by visiting the designated website, where they can select a preferred date and time for a follow-up from a police officer. Communication options include WhatsApp, Google Meet, FaceTime, Teams, or a phone call.

This online service covers non-urgent reports such as lost items and property damage. Once submitted, the report is registered in the police database, and a copy is emailed to the user.

The police emphasize that emergencies should still be reported by calling 112 or 119. Physical report submissions at police stations remain available for those who prefer them.

In the 2024 UEFA U19 European Championship final, played in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Spain defeated France 2-0.

The match, which included up-and-coming talent, put an exciting finish to a tournament that began on July 15. Due to the cooperation between UEFA and Malta FA, Italy won the U19 championship in Malta last year.

FIFA referee Ishmael Barbara, who officiated three games, including the semifinal between France and Ukraine, and acted as the fourth official in the championship this year, made Malta’s participation noteworthy. Barbara has grown tremendously as a result of this experience, which has also demonstrated UEFA’s faith in Maltese authorities.

Bjorn Vassallo, President of the Malta FA, was present at the final as the Chairman of the UEFA Youth & Amateur Football Committee. He gave the trophy to Spain and medals to the referees and the winners. The committee is in charge of all UEFA youth and amateur competitions.

The Maltese FA and the public continue to take pleasure in the administrators and officials who represent Malta in international football.
