‘As I write this message with tears in my eyes, I feel fully prepared and grateful to be living the dream I dreamt of since I was young’, said Miriana.

‘Every bad comment I received, every personal attack I encountered about my music, about the way I look, weirdly enough feels like an achievement.’

‘Why so? Because I want to be different, and I want to be the voice for every soul that feels like they do not belong. And to the ones that have supported me since day one, that have given me love in the midst of all the crazy things happening. I fucking love you, and I wouldn’t be here without you.’

Miriana will be SERVING for Malta in the second semifinal on the 15th of May of this year’s Eurovision. Will you be tuning in?

Birkirkara Seal Spot In Final With Maxuell Maia Goal

Birkirkara Seal Spot In Final With Maxuell Maia Goal
May 5 2025 Share

Birkirkara are through to Saturday’s Top Four final thanks to a dramatic stoppage-time goal from Maxuell Maia, who broke Sliema Wanderers’ hearts deep into extra time.

In a match that had been largely uneventful and physically draining for both sides, it seemed destined for penalties—until Maia’s moment of magic.

With seconds left on the clock, Birkirkara won a free-kick. Shaun Dimech floated the ball into the box, and Maia rose highest to head home the winner, sparking wild celebrations among the Birkirkara players and fans.

The match itself was a tense, cautious affair, with both sides more focused on not conceding than pushing forward. Chances were few and far between, and fatigue clearly set in as the game dragged on. But Birkirkara’s persistence paid off.

The win sends them into the final—where they’ll face either Floriana or Ħamrun Spartans.
