During today’s COVID-19 public health conference, Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne and Superintendent for Public Health Prof. Charmaine Gauci set a roadmap related to easing of COVID-19 measures in Malta. The measures are as follows:
24th May
- Snack bars and restaurants to open until 12AM
- Pools to open until 8PM (without activities)
- Gyms and fitness centres to reopen (classes not allowed)
- Day centres to reopen
- Contact sports training for ages 17+ to continue
- Non-contact sports competitions to continue without spectators
1st June
- Weddings to continue in line with announced protocol
- English schools to reopen on campus
7th June
- Number of persons permitted on the same table in restaurants and snack bars up to 6
- Cinemas and theatres to reopen
- Bars and band clubs to open until midnight with seated clients
- Gaming and betting outlets to reopen
- Contact sports and team sport competitions to continue without spectators for ages 17+
- Groups of 6 permitted in public
28th June
- Contact sports for those younger than 17 to continue
- Summer schools to reopen
