COVID-19 global death toll surpasses 3 million

COVID-19 global death toll surpasses 3 million
Apr 8 2021 Share

According to a Reuters tally, the latest global resurgence of COVID-19 infections along with variants has shot the global death toll up to 3 million. Health officials worldwide blame the more resistant and infectious variants of the virus detected first in the UK and South Africa, with the death toll peaking in Brazil and India. Even though it took more than one year for the global death toll to reach 2 million, the other 1 million were added in approximately 3 months.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) acknowledged that Brazil, which accounts for one in every four deaths worldwide each day, has an immensely overwhelmed healthcare system. The European region’s 51 countries has totalled the highest number of deaths at nearly 1.1 million.

This Maltese hotel has an indoor pool in two of its suites and we’re in love

Apr 7 2021 Share

Staycations are a thing in 2021 and Malta’s hospitality industry has a lot to offer to satisfy our holiday cravings, with H Hotel in St. Julian’s definitely at the top of our list of hotel goals with their new Signature Pool Suites.

That’s right, pool suites.

H Hotel’s brand new rooms are the first of their kind in Malta and feature a luxury swimming pool in the comfort of your own room, accompanied by all of the high-end amenities we’ve come to expect from Hugo’s Group.

The pool suites are the latest of the hotel’s 160+ rooms which have become popular for their elegant design and attention to detail.

H Hotel is one of the many projects spearheaded by the late entertainment mogul Hugo Chetcuti, with his son Luke Chetcuti looking to extend his legacy as CEO and Managing Director of Hugo’s group.

The rooms are currently available to book and we’ll be heading there ourselves ASAP.
