The Cottonera Christmas Market, or Villaġġ tal-Milied fil-Kottonera, was officially announced by Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government Alison Zerafa Civelli, alongside Isla Mayor Clive Pulis and organiser Jonathan Pace.
The event will take place on Sunday, December 1st, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Isla Square. The market will feature a stage for dance and singing performances, food stalls, artisanal crafts, and a performance by the National Choir of Malta.
There will also be various activities for children, including a magician, face painting, and pony rides.
Parliamentary Secretary Zerafa Civelli highlighted the importance of such events in bringing communities together, noting that the Cottonera area already offers a high-quality destination.
She emphasised that events like this enhance the local experience for those visiting the Three Cities. Additionally, on December 1st, the Christmas tree will be lit up, which was crafted by the Senglea Craft Group using crochet techniques.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to revitalise the area and provide festive activities for both locals and visitors.
